Video | Transbay Concrete Pour

In News - Projects, Technology, Video Series by blogadmin1 Comment

At ISI, we feel honored to be a part of important projects that transform the landscape of our cities. One such project is the San Francisco Transbay Transit Center, also known as the Grand Central Station of the West. The scale of the project is immense as it covers four city blocks. A total of 16 concrete pours created the foundation and lower floors of the terminal. Each of the 16 pours required over 400 trucks, each carrying nine yards of concrete. ISI has begun capturing the progress of this monumental project on video. This first video captures the what it is like to be a part of Transbay from the ground up. Journey with us 60 feet below street level as we capture the building of the foundation and witness how a project this magnitude is built and inspected.
