ISI provided a full scope of special inspection and materials testing services for the Military Ocean Terminal Concord (MOTCO) Pier 2 Replacement project in Concord, CA. The Design Build project consists of demolishing the existing 159,000 square feet of timber portions of the pier, which includes both the main platform and western trestle, while rebuilding the pier’s features using concrete structures. The replacement and upgrade through the use of a new concrete structure will occupy roughly 79% of its original footprint and will incorporate the existing east trestle.
