The Anderson Reservoir was built in 1950 during construction of the Anderson Dam which is located East of Morgan Hill. The 235 foot high dam measures 1,430 feet long by 900 feet wide and sits along the Coyote Creek Fault on Coyote Road. The reservoir is a critical water supply source and the Anderson Dam Seismic Retrofit project will strengthen the dam so it can withstand a strong earthquake and it will ensure that the public have a secure and reliable water supply source today and for future generations to come.
