ISI-Projects: Hospitals

	University of California San Francisco Medical Center. ISI has provided special inspection services as required by OSHPD for over 85 projects for UCSF Medical Center facilities including Mt Zion Hospital, OB/GYN Clinic, Moffit Hospital, Long Hospital, Joseph Friends Center and Laurel Heights for retrofits, tenant improvements, new equipment installations and investigations. (1994 – 2001)
	Northern California Presbyterian Homes Continuum of Care Expansion Project, San Francisco This structural steel and moment frame addition extends four levels and utilizes metal deck over steel, drilled piers, masonry, and reinforced concrete. Under OSHPD regulations and CCr Title 24, ISI meticulously performed a wide variety of materials testing and construction inspection. DSA/ORS inspectors assured complete compliance with both the governing codes and the project's plans.
	Belmont Skilled Nursing Facility, Belmont, CA This skilled nursing facility is built on the hillside to connect by elevator to the existing OSHPD licensed Belmont Convalescent Home. It is a one story structural steel frame structure with two stories of wood frame above, totaling 80,000 sf. One interesting note is that the city inspector requested special approval on the fireproofing of the structural steel frames because the field conditions prevented the fireproofing to be performed per the UL listing. ISI provided a consulting Fire Marshal to represent the owner to gain approval through "Alternate Means" as allowed by the Building Code.
